Hi, my name is Randy I’m a nursing student at NIU. I am in my second semester of nursing school. Today was my first day in mental health class and around 6:20 pm I received numerous of calls from my mom. It didn’t sit right with me so I stepped out to answer and she was balling her eyes out saying her mom just passed away and from there everything was silent in my head I was in shock but I know I had to hold myself together.

My grandma Rosa was always struggling to manage her diabetes and did not have much money but we all did what we could to help her and part of me thinks she gave up but we will never know until it’s our time. It is difficult to write this so I am sorry if it is all over the place.

All funds collected will be directed to cover the cost of the funeral anything extra will be donated to charity.
