My name is Emmily, and I am reaching out on behalf of my daughter, Rosaleigh. At just 14, Rosie is battling end-stage kidney failure. Watching her fight this life-altering condition has been heartbreaking, but her strength and resilience inspires me every day.
Over the past few months, Rosie has been undergoing dialysis multiple times a week while she waits for a kidney donation. Unfortunately, this has not been enough to keep her out of the hospital, and she has faced several serious complications. These hospitalizations, along with ongoing medical care, have taken a tremendous toll on her, as well as our family’s emotional and financial stability.
As her parent, my priority is to be by her side, advocating for her care and ensuring she has what she needs to keep fighting. However, the financial burden of hospital stays, transportation to and from the hospital while also caring for other children, and missing work has become too heavy for us to carry alone. We have exhausted our resources and are now humbly seeking support from our community.
We are turning to you for assistance in easing this financial strain so we can focus on what matters most: Rosie’s health and well-being. Your generosity will help cover:
-Transportation to and from hospital stays/visits (The hospital she has to go to for her care is 30 miles away)
-Parking at the hospital, which is $16 each entry, parking passes are available at a slightly discounted rate
-Household bills and basic living expenses during this difficult time, due to having to miss work to be at the hospital. This is probably the biggest "expense".
Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in our lives. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and social networks. Your support—whether financial or through spreading the word—means the world to us.
On behalf of Rosie and our entire family, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers. Knowing that we have the support of our community gives us strength as we navigate this incredibly challenging journey.
Thank you for reading our story, and for supporting us during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Emmily, Rosie's Mom
