Eye Caramba! Rosalee Needs Our Help - Round 2
Donation protected
Hi friends - at this point, you’ve likely heard the news about our dear friend Rosalee’s unfortunate accident, but in case you haven’t on Friday, Dec. 9th Rosalee walked in her door, slipped on a miniature rubber chicken and fell face first into a table, causing an Orbital Blowout Fracture of her left eye socket.
While the good news is that with surgery, her eye socket can be fully repaired, the bad news is that this will require a 6-8 week recovery time as well as an expensive outpatient procedure to replace the orbital floor of her eye with an implant.
This is a lot of missed wages, especially at her busiest time of the year. Rosalee has done so much to help all of us at one time or another and now is our chance to give back and support her.
We are hoping to raise $18,240. This will go towards 8 weeks of missed wages, time off for Gordon to support Rosalee and drive her to and from appointments, as well as medicine, treatment and studio rent. Additionally, at this time we don’t know the full cost of the surgery as her financial aid request is still under review. The cost of this surgery without health insurance is $134,000.
We know this is a big ask, but we believe in the power of coming together to support each other in times of need. Please give what you can and share with your people. Thank you so much!
