Rosa Lua Memorial - Zane and Zara Fund
Donation protected
On March 20, 2019, Zane and Zara’s young lives were forever changed. Their mother, our sister Rosa, was tragically killed by a drunk driver. Our big-hearted Rosa was taken away by someone who decided to get behind the wheel when he was well over the legal limit, earning him his 3rdDUI and killing Rosa. He only suffered minor injuries; life is so unfair!
Rosa was an exceptional single mom. Her main passions were baking, cooking, crafting and being a mom to her 3-year-old twins. Organics and green/sustainability were a big part of her way of life. She lived for spending quality time with her babies; she taught them American Sign Language to aid them in communicating as babies and ensured they learned how to speak Spanish before learning English to honor their Mexican heritage.
Rosa was a kind, fun, selfless, and courageous soul who cherished her family and close friends. She was simply one of a kind who touched many people’s hearts in her very own and unique way; she will be dearly missed.
We are all deeply saddened by this senseless tragedy. Not only did Zane and Zara lose their mother, but our mother lost her daughter, my siblings and I lost our sister, her nieces and nephews lost their auntie and her friends lost a true friend. Rosa is irreplaceable to us, and especially to Zane and Zara.
Many friends and family have expressed interest in helping Zane and Zara, therefore creating this fund for their education, health and well-being. For those of you wanting to make a direct gift, please reach out to the family.
Your donations will be used to establish a fund for Zane and Zara.
Thank you for your donation,
