Dear Family, Friends, or all of those who may have or may not have known our mother.

My name is Beatriz Mendiola, and I'm the second-oldest daughter of Rosa's seven children. This GoFundMe is set up to help give our mom a proper send-off, cover funeral expenses, flower arrangements, mass proceedings, and any other expenses we may not be aware of at this moment.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Rosa Elena Chavez, who passed on September 26, 2025, after her long, painful battle with breast cancer.

Rosa's long battle with breast cancer began in 2018. During these long 7 years, she endured so much, she had her double mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation, and multiple surgeries. Yet through all of this, she remained poised, resilient, courageous, and faithful. After many years of doctor's visits, cancer treatments, and prayers, we never lost hope, but our beautiful mom was showing signs that she could no longer go on. She was tired, and it was with great sadness that a decision had to be made.

On September 15, 2025, it was decided that all Cancer treatments would end, and she was transitioned into at-home hospice care, where she would be cared for by her children and loved ones. During that time, she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and her only great-granddaughter, Juliette Rose, who stood by her bedside until she took her very last breath.

My siblings and I are extremely devastated by the loss of our beautiful mother. We were not prepared for this financial burden, and any and all donations will be greatly appreciated.
