I’m Julia, a mum of three living with stage 4 ROS1-positive lung cancer, a rare and aggressive form that mostly affects younger, non-smoking women. It strikes without warning and has no known cause. But while it’s deadly, ROS1+ cancer often responds well to targeted drugs, if you can get them.
Because we’re rare, we’re often sidelined. That means limited research, no dedicated funding, and life-saving treatments that are out of reach for most. When my cancer spread to my brain, the NHS had nothing left to offer. I was only saved because Pfizer agreed to fund a drug on compassionate grounds — a decision that gave me my life back. But most people aren’t so lucky.
We’ve started a small, patient-led charity because no one else is fighting for us. We are determined to change the system, to bring access, hope, and fairness to those with rare lung cancers. Please donate generously. Your support could help save a life like mine.
