I'm starting this in honour and memory of my dear Erik Roque.

Erik was born in the Philippines and his heart never left. He had huge love and concern for young school children and it broke his heart that these kids often didn't have the supplies and resources they need for a good education. On his last visit, he personally delivered backpacks and other supplies directly to kids at school in the Aetas community and in true Erik fashion, ensured they started their day with a nutritious meal as well. He did this all with donations from friends, family and himself.

Erik had always hoped to continue with this and I want to do what I can to carry it forward for him.

My name is Rick and I'm from Canada where Erik lived out his last 14 years. It's important to me that these kids see help coming from their own country. I will try to involve the people in the Philippines who helped Erik last time or find others if needed. I hope to go someday to witness this myself, but I promise you that every dollar raised here will go directly to getting these kids geared up for school!
