UPDATE 1/16/21 (Post from Gaylea McDougal)
"It is with more sadness, hurt and pain than I ever thought possible for anyone to feel, that I come here tonight to let you know that my beautiful, precious baby has transitioned into his new form.
On January 5th Austin drove himself to the ER after having a headache off and on since around Christmas. None of us could have imagined the diagnosis. It was a stroke. He underwent emergency surgery but the swelling was just too severe and his sweet little brain had been damaged too much.
On January 14, he took his last breath at 10:10pm with Scott and I by his side the entire time.
We are heartbroken beyond repair but we find peace in knowing that Austin is now pure light, laughter and love. As he always was. His body was never big enough for all the love he had to give and now he can spread it to the far reaches of the universe."
To know the McDougal family, is to love them. Both Gaylea & Scott ooze with love and compassion. They are so dedicated to our community and right now they could really use our help. They are going through what no family should ever have to go through. Please continue to wrap them in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you from the very bottom of our hearts.
