Rooted & Radiant: Road to Recovery

In February 2024, my life changed in a way I never expected. I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. From that moment, I went into fight mode.

I spent 6 months undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy, holding onto hope through every treatment. When my scans came back showing no visible cancer, I truly believed I was stepping into a new chapter of healing.

In September 2024, I made the difficult decision to undergo a double mastectomy. A step I took with faith that it would bring me closer to being cancer-free. But during surgery, doctors discovered approximately 20 small masses still present in my breast tissue. While recovering, I began noticing new changes in my body. Five masses developed on my skin, and after biopsy, they were confirmed to be cancerous.

In October 2024, I started a targeted chemotherapy designed to attack the remaining cancer cells. I stayed committed, stayed hopeful, and kept pushing forward. But in February 2025, scans revealed a new mass in my chest wall. I was placed on yet another chemotherapy regimen.

By December 2025, the cancer had spread to the lymph nodes under both of my arms.

In January 2026, I began taking capecitabine chemotherapy pills, continuing to fight with everything I had.

Then in April 2026, I received the news that the cancer had progressed again. This time spreading to my neck and another area in my chest.

At this point, I have gone through multiple chemotherapy treatments, and my body has endured so much. While I am deeply grateful for the care I’ve received, I am now choosing to pursue integrative and holistic treatments that focus on supporting my body, strengthening my immune system, and targeting the cancer in a different way.

These treatments include high-dose vitamin C infusions, ozone therapy, and specialized care plans. Therapies that are not covered by insurance and must be paid for out of pocket. The cost of treatment is significant, with an estimated total between $25,000–$30,000 depending on duration and response. This includes ongoing infusions multiple times per week, additional therapies, and necessary dental work required before continuing treatment.

This is not an easy ask, but it is a necessary one.
