I have always loved spending time in the outdoors, part of the reason for moving to the Pacific Northwest was to deepen that connection with the outdoors . My hope is that everyone has an opportunity to experience nature be that in a city park, local lake or mountain side meadow.
That is why I am supporting Outdoor Afro during Black Philanthropy Month. Their work to celebrate Black leadership, land stewardship, and community care opens doors for people who have been excluded from outdoor spaces for too long. Through hiking, fishing, kayaking, gardening, skiing, and more, Outdoor Afro creates welcoming pathways for Black people to learn, lead, and belong in nature.
Giving to Outdoor Afro helps grow programs, train leaders, and expand access so more people can experience the healing and joy of the outdoors. It honors a long tradition of Black generosity and commitment to community, and it invests in a future where our lands and waters are shared and cared for by everyone.
Please join me in supporting Outdoor Afro. Your donation will help expand their national impact and ensure more Black communities have access to meaningful outdoor experiences. Thank you for helping bring more people into the places that have given me so much.
