Hello! I’m Brooke (Rooster’s mom) and found out today that he will need surgery tomorrow for a femoral capital physeal fracture (a fracture through the growth plate at the head of the thigh bone). These fractures are not necessarily caused by trauma, so we had no way to prepare for this. We noticed a limp and went from there. Fortunately for Mr. Roots, the surgery has a very high success rate. But unfortunately for us, it’s expensive. I have never created a GoFundMe before, but as a counseling grad student working two jobs who suffered the effects/loss of income from Hurricane Helene half a year ago, I’m putting my pride to the side for this cause. I have some money left to spend via CareCredit and have applied for aid via our local humane society. Any other advice is appreciated!

TLDR: My kitty needs surgery and I am a struggling grad student!!
