Hi everyone!! Many of you know, but I am in my fourth year of veterinary school at CSU. My husband and I recently adopted two retired research ferrets to help them live out their days in a home where they can play and be loved instead of in a lab. Roxie and Roo give us so much joy and laughter in their slinky little bodies and are the goofiest duo. Anyone who knows me knows how much I love animals, but especially ferrets. Our sweet little Roo (short for kangaroo because of her little bounced) chewed up a foam ball the other day and now has an obstruction in her GI tract, making her severely ill and racing the clock for treatment before her bowels rupture and it’s too late. Vet school is not cheap, and this life-saving surgery is not cheap either, putting Drew and I in a position where we might have to euthanize our roo roo because the price of surgery is too steep. If anyone could donate even 20 dollars to help try and save our girl before it’s too late, we would be forever thankful. She’s only 3 years old and we don’t want to give up on her. Even sharing this post would mean so much!!! Thank you from the bottom of our heart. She is our sweet girl and we don’t want to lose her so soon after getting her. We have until tomorrow to make a decision before it’s too late for her.
