Roofer in need

Donation protected
On the 6th of June a senior roofer was working in suburban Sydney doing what he’s been doing for more than 50 years. Then tragedy struck. He was wearing his harness, however as he switched connection points he slipped falling 4 metres and impaled him self on a spiked iron fence.

The weight of the fall drove the spear deep into his leg. Impaled and helpless his mate rushed to his aid supporting his weight for an agonising 35minutes until the ambulance arrived.

He’s 68, a much-loved member of the roofing community: a mentor, a husband, father and grandfather. Life has been a struggle of late with just about every disaster you can imagine hitting him and his family. He’s a humble man and in his words ‘not a charity case, ’ but he needs your help.

It will be many weeks before he’s back and able to earn a living. Your generosity will help him make ends meet in the meantime.
