Roof for Cooper’s Cove Grand Cay
Hurricane Dorian…
What does that mean to you? Personally to me it brings back feelings of fear, worry, sadness, love, hope, redemption, and new beginnings. It also brings back memories of severe mass destruction, hardships, death, but also memories of rebuilding, people coming together, but most of all Gods love for humanity. When disaster strikes it gives opportunities for people to show kindness, love, and selflessness. I was humbled at the outpouring of help from my amazing community and from the fishing community who know and love Grand Cay in the Bahamas. It’s been just over 2 years, such wonderful progress has been made. However there are still needs that are unmet and unfortunately with the circumstances of the last year it has not been easy. After visiting many times over the summer and with much help and guidance, we have decided to raise money to complete the roof on Cooper’s Cove. Right now it only only has peel and stick. Coopers Cove is where we have stayed for 20 years. They are wonderful to us each and every time we are there. Max and Katrina Cooper have touched many lives over the years through their outstanding hospitality. I know collectively we can make this happen for them. Our goal is $10,000. This will cover materials only for the roof. We are also working on a plan to get it over to Grand Cay and labor which will be an additional cost. Every little bit counts and we are grateful for each donation.
