Hello, I am Amy Robinson, and I’m writing this with both a heavy heart and a sense of hope and determination.
I am the daughter of Ron Robinson—an incredible father, husband, and friend. Just as we celebrated his 70th birthday, my father was given the overwhelming news that he has metastatic adenocarcinoma, a cancer that has spread from his colon to his liver. While this diagnosis is undeniably difficult, there is still hope: the cancer is treatable, though ultimately not curable.
We are in the early stages of figuring out his treatment, and my family and I are committed to supporting him every step of the way. My dad decided he wants to first try a treatment regimen that offers promise and allows him to continue working with minimal side effects, but the medications alone cost over $500 a month. If this approach proves less effective, chemotherapy will become the next consideration, which brings its own set of challenges.
This is where I'm asking for your help. I am raising funds to ensure that my dad receives the care he needs without delay, to help cover the costs of medications, and to ensure that we can explore every avenue of treatment available. We know the road ahead will be tough, but with your support, I believe we can make this journey just a little bit easier for him.
Your generosity, prayers, and kindness mean the world to us during this difficult time. Together, we can give my dad the best possible chance for the future he deserves.
I will be running 1 mile for every $100 raised for him.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with us.
