Ronny Powers was diagnosed with Non-Small Cell Carcinoma on February 20, 2015. Doctors found tumors on his lungs, brain and bones. Since, he's undergone numerous tests and treatments...chemotherapy, radiation, two Gamma Knife surgeries, CT scans, X-rays, MRIs and PET scans. The cancer is taking a toll on his body, and his health continues to rapidly decline. He, along with his precious family and friends, continue to keep the faith and pray for a miracle.
If you know Ronny, you know he has a heart of gold...one of the most kindred spirits you could possibly come in contact with. He adores and is adored by his wife, Mary Powers and daughter, Cammy Powers. Ronny has never met a stranger and has a comforting presence that makes you feel like you've known each other for years. I can honestly say that he is one of the most selfless people I've ever met; he would give anything and everything he had to make sure no one wanted or needed for anything.

Ronny and his family have endured more than I could ever imagine in the last several years. Still trying to cope with the loss of their 20-year-old son, Chris, in 2006, this family had to close their long-time family owned and operated business due to the economic decline shortly thereafter. After struggling through many other extenuating circumstances, the Powers family is now fighting another battle against the odds. They've never been ones to ask for hand-outs but have always graciously helped anyone that has come to them in need. Many of their son's and daughter's friends have called the Powers' house "home."
With the beginning of a new year, there are new insurance deductibles to be met and a continuous flow of medical bills. This, along with future medical expenses, is overwhelming. Ronny and Mary Powers are two of the most loving and caring people I know, and now they could use our help. Any donations, warm thoughts, or prayers would be greatly appreciated in this trying time. All donations will go toward the medical expenses of Ronny as he fights for his life.
Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
