Hey everyone my name is Rance Rosas and my family is asking for your help. My dad, Ronnie Rosas, had a liver transplant on September 26th and then due to complications had a second surgery October 5th. He spent 3 weeks in the hospital in San Antonio. He was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver, caused by NAFLD, in 2020 when he was admitted to the hospital with COVID-19. Just in this recent year along with battling the liver disease he was diagnosed with liver cancer. He underwent radiation treatment and the cancer was reduced enough to allow him on the transplant list. And then a close family friend, Julie Holt, stepped up and decided to be my dad's honorary donor. He is now on the very long road to recovery to get back to his normal everyday life.
Through the process, the medical bills have begun to pile up from the surgeries and all the visits and will continue as he must make weekly trips to San Antonio for 12 weeks for check ups and lab work. These trips include an overnight stay (due to the time of the appointments) along with the gas. Besides all the medical bills and travel expenses my dad will be out of work for several months.
If you know my dad, he is one of the most hardworking and dedicated husband, father and grandfather to his entire family. Normally, we would never ask for any type of donation or help, but in these circumstances anything you would be willing to contribute to help my dad would be greatly appreciated. If nothing else, your thoughts and prayers for our family (especially my mom who has been by my dad's side the entire way and seen the good and bad so far) go a long way. We are so thankful to feel the love and support from family and friends. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and sharing this would be greatly appreciated.
