Ronnie’s brave battle

This dreaded six letter word is sadly something we’ve all become too familiar with, ‘CANCER’. the magnitude that these six letters can impact a persons life and their family, is unimaginable.
For those of you who do not have the pleasure of knowing my uncle, I’d love to shed some light on the man behind the cancer diagnosis and GoFundMe link... Ronnie was born and raised in Santa Rosa, CA and lives there today. He has been married to my Aunt Kelly for as long as I’ve been on this earth. When my sister and I were younger, my uncle Ronnie was always the FUN adult. During family functions he choose to play with the kids. Swimming with him was always my favorite! He’d dive in the water and sneak up from under us, pick us up and throw us up into the air as high as he could. I know of so many times his arms were tired, but we’d beg for more and he’d keep going until our hands turned into prunes.
My uncle Ronnie is a master carpenter and can construct just about anything and when my dad died he personally took on the responsibility of coming over and helping me with all of my DIY projects. He built the most beautiful wedding entryway with fresh flowers and antique doors for me to walk down the isle at my wedding. I still have so much I’d like him to teach me. He is a man that loves camping and country music. He played hockey when he was younger and raised animals for 4-H. He loves black coffee and is an active third generation Clamper, chapter 1849 based out of Downeyville, CA. But what is most important to my uncle Ronnie is his three children. Brittany, Alex and Heather. And while he should be preparing to walk his youngest daughter Heather down the isle, instead he is preparing for the biggest fight he’ll ever have to step into the ring for. The fight to save his life.
Regretfully I am sharing the news of my Uncle, Ronald Crossman’s Lung Cancer diagnosis, that has also unfortunately spread to his brain. This is a very troubling time for the Crossman family, not only heartbreaking, but financially as well. On behalf of our whole family we are asking for help. Anything counts and we know times are especially tough right now and ask that if you cannot donate, please say a prayer for Ronnie. Those are even more important at this time.
