RONNIE'S LIFE: Against all odds, Ronnie has made it. With a grim prognosis while battling a grueling heart condition and even open heart surgery, living and loving life with Down Syndrome and just recently tragically losing his mother to cancer - where he lovingly stayed by her bedside throughout the painstaking months, offering her the gift of his sweet spirit as comfort, Ronnie has been a courageous survivor.
On a whim, his siblings entered his photo in a competition to be featured in New York's Time Square during its annual Down Syndrome Association Buddy Walk in September 2017.
HE WAS SELECTED!! THEY PICKED HIS PHOTO TO APPEAR ON THE JUMBOTRON!!!
But, they could NOT offer any compensation or financial assistance. The burden of traveling to and from Texas to New York, Room and Board, and associated costs with the weekend’s planned events are just too unbearable in the wake of his siblings having to pay out-of-pocket to bury his recently deceased mother.
It would make so much of a difference in his life if he could be celebrated and given a moment to smile. He definitely has the character and presence of a deserving human being,
This event could be the start of a career in modeling and/or representing himself and all people with developmental disabilities and showing the whole world that they matter. Please help make his dreams come true and heart ache a little less through your donation (ANY amount is welcomed and appreciated)
There are really no words to express how a tiny donation from each of us will change his life and open up his opportunities for a lifetime! Thanks in Advance!
