Ronnie Cain Kidney Fund
Donation protected
I am writing to you about my friend Ronnie Cain to let you know about his current health challenge, and how you can help. This is not an easy letter for me to write, but I know that without sending this, someone who might be interested in helping won’t have that opportunity.
As many of you know Ronnie is a former (retired) Police Officer who has recently had his Texas Peace Officers license reinstated. He can't get a job in law enforcement until he finds an acceptable donor and has the kidney transplant done and it be a success. Ronnie has spent his career serving others as a public servant, loving husband, father, uncle, and friend. He has been an ordained minister for several years, always putting others before himself.
My family has known Ronnie for the last ten years. We became close to Ronnie when he performed my fathers funeral service. He has always been there for us in times of need. Being a single mother has not been easy for me, Ronnie has always been there for me when I needed advice, guidance, or providing a helping hand to repair things around our home.
Ronnie Cain has been told that he must undergo a Kidney Transplant and therefore find an acceptable kidney donor, or he will be put on the bottom of a long waiting list for a new kidney. I have met several of you through work or at Ronnie’s home over the years. I am being tested to see if I am an acceptable donor, I am asking you to consider being tested for a potential donor. You can get further information on donor screening by calling the Texas Transplant Institute at Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital (210) [phone redacted] or (210) [phone redacted] and have a confidential conversation and get answers to any questions you have. At first, you don’t even have to disclose your name, only that you are interested in helping Ronnie. You can also visit the webpage at www.sahealth.com/kidneytransplant.
I am doing everything I can to help find him a living kidney donor. I hope you will consider being tested to be a donor. I know this is a big request. But I make it on behalf of someone who devotes every day of his life to making a difference to his family and friends. If you can help, please do. If you know someone who might, please forward this on. There will also be a tremendous financial burden for Ronnie during the recovery period. If you are able to help ease his burden financially a Go Fund Me Account has been set up. If you have questions please call or email me.
Forwarding this to your family, friends, work, school, Facebook, Congregation, or any other communities you belong to would be most gratefully appreciated.
Thank You So Much!
Please keep him in your Thoughts & Prayers
