What still seems to be a nightmare, unfortunately, is my new reality. I received the worst call of my life on Monday, July 24, 2023. My sister, who received this news while on vacation, informed me that my "best friend", also known as my 67-year-old biological father, was beaten to death. He was murdered, cold-blooded, in his residence by someone who identified as "his friend". To imagine the fear, pain, agony and sheer cries of help, my father experienced in his last moments of life, is beyond devastating. Not to mention, the brokenheartedness and trauma my 70-plus-year-old disabled uncle has to carry, from being in the home at the time my father (his brother) was killed. The nature of this death was brutal, cruel, intentional - but most importantly, unexpected for our family. In the process of making the funeral arrangements, I was informed that Life Insurance wouldn't be possible due to several factors, outside of my control. If you can see it in your heart, please touch and agree with me in prayer and solidarity, that my father will be laid to rest in a way that doesn't put financial strain on his family. I am a single mother of 3 children - as is my sister. If you're able, please consider helping with my father's final burial expenses. Any amount shared will be greatly appreciated. Our last option is to apply for a personal loan, however...as a single mother, my father has collectively six grandchildren, that we must continue to care for; with (2) in high school that are on track for an undergraduate college experience. We're only able to sleep at night - because the person who is responsible for my father's tragic life end, is sitting behind bars with no bail. Please help us fall asleep easier, knowing that our father will be buried and will forever rest in peace.
