Ron Gutierrez Funeral Expenses

Ron Gutierrez from the Cottage Grove neighborhood in Houston, Texas went to heaven on July 26, 2016 at 58 years-young. Mr. Gutierrez left behind his wife, Irene Gutierrez, his son Barron Gutierrez, and his two step-sons Freddy and Angel Rivera.
Ron was an upholster by birth. His father and best friend, Rudy Gutierrez, served in the United States navy during World War II and taught him everything he knew on how to be an amazing man. Rudy married Charlotte Gutierrez in 1946, Ron’s mother. She taught Ron how to care for others no matter what the cost.
Together Rudy and Charlotte founded the family business ‘Rudy’s Upholstery’ which has been serving the Houston area for over 50 years thanks to Ron’s efforts to continue serving his father’s cliental after he passed in 2005.
Ron was one of eight children, he and his siblings were often seen playing ball in the neighborhood during the 1970’s and 80’s or they were out dancing at local clubs. Ron was quite the disco king back in his day.
In 1993 Ron had his first and only-born son Barron. Barron was born with a medical condition that left him in need of a heart transplant when he was a baby. In 2003, when Barron was 10 years-old Ron’s prayers for his son were answered when his son had a successful heart transplant.
Ron was an amazingly generous and reliable man before his son came to earth but after he became even more grateful to God afterward.
Ron never did anything he did not want to do because he truly understood the importance of life and love. Ron cared for others beyond all odds and was grateful for everything he had throughout his life.
Ron did not leave a will or any funeral arrangements behind for his wife and sons to implement. This ‘Go Fund Me’ page is established to afford to lay his body to rest and to ease his wife of 28-years, Irene, who has been working since the day she was 14.
Ron’s shoes are big to fill, but the hope is that his life will help make other men great to their families as well.
Thank you,
The Gutierrez Family
