Help Ronelle & Baby Atlas

Our dear friend and fellow Slappy Cakes employee, Ronelle, is facing one of the most difficult chapters of her life, and we’re asking for your help.

Ronelle recently gave birth to her beautiful baby boy, Atlas, who arrived prematurely and is currently in the NICU on Oʻahu, where he will remain until July. While she lives on Maui with her three other children, Ronelle must fly back and forth to be there for both her children at home and baby Atlas in the hospital. As you can imagine, the cost of travel, medical expenses, and daily necessities is overwhelming—and she cannot return to work during this time.

This is not the first hardship Ronelle has faced. She lost her home and all of her possessions in the Lahaina Wildfires, and despite that devastation, she has since brought two children into the world and worked to rebuild a happy home for her family. Her strength and resilience are nothing short of inspiring.

Anyone who knows Ronelle will tell you: she is gentle, kind, sincere, and full of love. She is a friend to many, always showing up for others with a quiet strength and open heart. Now, it’s our turn to show up for her.
