Ronda's Vision Quest
Donation protected
Recently, my aunt, Ronda, started noticing that her vision was going downhill quickly and made an appointment with her optometrist. After she visited the doctor, she was feeling a bit depressed about the news.
She has cataracts and will need cataract surgery, however, in order to restore the actual near and far vision, she will need an additional procedure to place lenses. The good news is, insurance will cover the basic cataract surgery. The bad news is that in order for her to have the lenses placed, she will have to pay $2195, per eye, out of pocket. Not exactly pocket change.
Ronda posted a message on Facebook sharing this information and that she’s “feeling frustrated and a bit depressed”. If you personally know Ronda, you know that this is not a normal sharing session and if she’s feeling blue enough to need to vent, then it’s bad. After reading her message, I prayed and pondered about how I could possibly help my aunt. I thought about all the times that Ronda has been there for me, our family, her friends and even perfect strangers and it seemed fitting to come together for her because if it were any one of us, she would be praying, pondering and executing a plan to help any one of us. Vision is a gift and what greater gift could we give her than that? This GoFundMe page is homage to her for all she does for so many.
If you would like to help Ronda get her vision back on track, please make any donation possible to help reach the goal of $4400. Thank you all for your love and support and if you can’t donate, please send prayers, positive vibes, good juju, happy thoughts or simply share this GoFundMe page…we’ll take whatever we can!
