Ronan the Heart Warrior
Donation protected
Thank you so much for thinking about donating to Ronan and his family! Three months old Ronan is scheduled for open heart surgery on September 18th. Ronan is a “tet” baby, and has a condition called Tetralogy of Fallot. He is lucky to live near Boston Children’s with an amazing cardiac program, but there are many costs involved. Obviously medical bills, but also gas, meals, medications, parking. With Anastasia and Tiffany self-employed, but taking time off to take care of their beautiful children, they can use our help.
Please consider donation to this wonderful family!
Tiffany is much more eloquent than I could ever be and this is her post from earlier this week:
What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. What if I don't want to be stronger or dead? What if I want to thrive and enjoy my babies while I have them in my arms? That just isn't something I will get right now.
Ronan is what many call a "heart warrior" or "TET" baby. He has a congenital heart condition that will require surgery on his tiny, beautiful barely 3 month old body. His heart will be held in someone's hands. Someone capable. Someone we're lucky to have access to. Someone. Someone will have our baby's heart in their hands.
Are we lucky we live in Boston? Yes. Are we lucky to have the best doctors with him? Yes.
But, my son will have his chest opened and surgeons will hold and handle his tiny heart. Although we are lucky to have all this, I'd give anything of myself to make sure he'd never need that.
There's so much more to this than the luck of our residence. It's something that we and Ronan will have in our lives forever. It doesn't end with this "lucky" surgery. It's just the beginning in the fight to make sure our little heart warrior can always live to the absolute fullest. We will of course fight and believe and trust in this "luck"....but wow this "luck" is hard.
His first (and hopefully only) surgery will be September 18th. If you believe in any deity, please speak to them about keeping my boy safe. I know we have that "luck" on our side, but every little bit counts ❤️
