Ronald Troy Collins

In January of 2016, out late one night in Downtown LA, a homeless man approached us and asked if he could sing for us. While the rest of our group returned inside upon his arrival, we stayed and listened to Ronald singing a capella for almost 30 minutes. At that moment, we knew in our hearts that the connection we shared was bigger than us and that he would be in our lives for a long time. We made a commitment on the spot to turning his dreams into a reality by helping to get him off the streets and build a career as a professional singer/songwriter. We're launching this campaign to help cover the costs associated with building that dream.

As a musician, Ronald draws on influences from gospel, soul and R&B greats such as Sam Cooke. The intensity of his experience on the streets is projected through the pain and depth of his voice. Ronald's transition from the streets to the stage is a real world story of hope and inspiration.

Since meeting, over 80 hours of footage has been shot for a documentary about Ronald's life on the street, his gift of connection through song and his journey out of addiction. We've recorded the first track of his debut album, booked performances and facilitated his transition into a recovery center far from Skid Row.

Now we need your help to take the next steps in supplementing the costs of Ronald's recovery center, where he plans to be for the next year, launching his debut album and documentary about his life and setting up his vision of a non profit organization that will empower the community of Skid Row. Ronald has a dream and it takes the love and support of many to help turn that dream into a reality.

Your donation will help cover the costs of things like:
 - Recovery center fees
 - Non profit incorporation
 - Food and clothing
 - Studio time
 - PR, legal and marketing costs

To say thank you, we'll be posting regular updates on Ronald's progress in recovery, sample recordings and behind the scenes access to the process.

This will be a long, tough road - please consider a reoccuring monthly gift.
