Ronald's journey to the Dominican Republic
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ronald Jones, III. Playing on the diamond has been a big part of my baseball life. Since the age of five, I've played a game that has taught me to compete, to dedicate myself to my craft of baseball and many life lessons. It's also started to open doors in my high school career that may lead to bigger opportunities at the next level.
I'm writing you to seek your support about an invitational trip offered through the University of Michigan Baseball program to play outside of the country against other elite level competition this summer in the Dominican Republic. Your support is kindly requested and appreciated!
Over the last couple of years, my dedication to the game has grown as a middle in-fielder and pitcher. I am in my sophomore season at Arabia Mountain HS playing varsity baseball. This year I will also play for the GBSA Rays travel baseball team. Over the past year here are a few of my highlights:
- the experience to play in the Nike RBI Jr. Division League Tournament (KC Royals) in Chicago, Illinois
- summer/fall league Atlanta RBI (Braves)
- attend the in-fielder camp in Ann Arbor, Michigan, were a few of the highlights.
Lastly, many hours of conditioning and training have been put in to get to this point.
In addition to my growth in the game, my actual academic growth has excelled. In the classroom my GPA in the Engineering magnet program is over 4.0. I have been recognized as a Principal's Scholar and on the Honor Roll. Well, my physical growth, stands 6' 0" and I weigh over 165 pounds.
Thank you for your generous support and for sharing my story with other family, friends, and fans. Please help the get the word out!
