Ronaldo’s Recovery

As some of you may or may not know my sister and brother in law are currently witnessing their son, my nephew, Ronaldo fight for his life against Cancer.

Ronaldo is fighting a rare form of Hodgkin Lymphoma (Nodular Lymphocyte-predominant Hodgkin Lymphoma) this is a battle that is tough to bear for those who love and care for him, especially his parents Ronaldo and Vanessa Garcia.

His father noticed a lump on the side of his neck which prompted an emergency visit with his pediatrician. Upon examination of his pediatrician, he was ordered directly for an ultra sound and blood test and the next day was to meet with an oncologist as the pediatrician felt this may be something of grave concern. After a multitude of different tests, X-Ray, CT scan, MRI, Petscan, Biopsy, the doctors speculation rang true. Ronaldo has cancer that has spread from once lymph node in his neck to many throughout his body.

I have started this go fund me to request any assistance, whether it be a donation (there is no donation to small), post share, prayers or words of encouragement. your generosity will assist in the days, weeks, and months to come with medical expenses, mortgage payments, utilities, medicine, on-going doctors visits, food, gas, all the every day expenses we all incur. His mother Vanessa has taken a leave of absence without pay to be by his side until he gets the news that he is cancer free. His father remains at work, but naturally would like to be by his sons side as often as possible, but the fact that they have a household to maintain and other children to provide for, he finds himself at a crossroads. He has remained sound and solid as they lean on him for his strength.

Ronaldo is such a great young man, extremely goofy kid and when his body allows, he cracks a joke from time to time, to ease his parents suffering watching him dwindle from the chemo. He is a huge football fan and dreams to one day make it to the NFL. He has remained brave and ready to attack this battle head on.
