My name is Cori and I'm starting this fundraiser campaign to help my sister Pamela Salter with funeral and living expenses. Her husband Ron passed away on October 23rd after a lengthy 4 year battle with pancreatic cancer. What people don't realize is that Pam would circle the earth for those she loves, even while experiencing her own health scares. As a couple they've overcome much adversity and struggles and managed to stay a strong family unit. Pam followed her dreams of moving back to our hometown to open up a family restaurant. She loves to cook and feed people. Many of our Pomeroy friends have experienced her yummy recipes. What some may not know is that she had to close this restaurant due to her own health issues. She nearly died 6 months after because of an undiagnosed celiac disease that caused her body to stop producing blood. 6 months after this scare she was again faced with her own cancer diagnosis and underwent major surgery and treatment. While being off recovering, her husband began to have his own health issues and she was never able to return to work. They have been living off his disability the last few years. The disability benefits stop with his death, leaving my sister and her 2 sons still at home without an income. We are hoping to raise enough funds to cover his funeral and living expenses while she puts their lives back together and finds employment. If you can't donate, send a prayer and share the gofund me.
