Ronald Velasco, a young father of two (Axel 9 months and Ronnie aged 6), fled Venezuela's dictatorship only a month ago looking for a more tenable life in Peru. He immediately found a job as an electrician, planning to bring his young wife and children to join him soon. Despite much hardship, he had hope.

On June the 2nd that hope was dashed when he suddenly suffered a splitting headache, followed by a seizure. At the age of 34, he had suffered a berry aneurysm. He was taken to "Jose Casimiro Ulloa" emergency hospital where he was diagnosed and stabilized. He received brain surgery for the aneurysm but lost mobility in the right side of his body.

Throughout the recovery process he has had a persistent fever and urinary tract infection that has led to the discovery of Ronald being diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) in both of his kidneys.

Ronald now requires a kidney transplant. His brothers have already put their hands up to donate a kidney to him, however because PKD is a hereditary disease, the doctors need to run tests on his brothers before they can undertake the procedure.

Help is needed to pay for the necessary exams, medicines and surgery as well as the recovery time. Leslie (his wife) has flown from Venezuela to join him, who is herself recovering from Hepatitis A due to consuming contaminated water in Caracas.

By starting this Go Fund Me page we are hoping to be able to at least help this young family out financially through these tough times. Big or small, everything is appreciated! I thank everyone in advance who helps these young people. They are amazingly resilient and they deserve a future.

Ronald Velasco joven padre de familia (Axel de solo 9 meses de nacido y Ronnie de 6 años de edad) sale de la dictadura Venezolana en búsqueda de una mejor calidad de vida para su familia. Gracias a su profesión encuentra trabajo de manera inmediata, a pesar de las incomodidades su plan parece tomar forma.

El 2 de Junio todo se desmorona, con un dolor de cabeza intenso seguido por convulsiones. A la edad de 34 años ha sufrido un aneurisma sacular.   Fue llevado de emergencia al hospital Jose Casimiro Ulloa adonde fue tratado y estabilizado. Luego de ser operado ha sido diagnosticado con Poliquistosis Renal doble por lo tanto necesita un trasplante de riñón urgente. Demás esta decir que no posee los recursos necesarios para costear las medicinas, exámenes y la cirugía. Como esta recién llegado no posee seguro social y mucho menos seguro privado.
  
Necesitamos ayuda económica para poder salvar la vida de este joven padre de familia honesto y trabajador, medicinas y tratamiento para su recuperación. Leslie (su esposa en Venezuela) esta desesperada por estar al lado de su marido y ese parte del problema, ella se está recuperando de sufrir hepatitis A, la cual contrajo al tomar agua contaminada en Caracas.
