Ronald Muckenfuss Medical Expenses

Hello, thanks for visiting the Ronald Muckenfuss GoFund Me page. My hope is that you will be compelled to contribute as much as you can to this incredible effort as there’s a long road ahead, but together, we can win this battle.
My uncle, Ronald Muckenfuss, affectionately known to many as “Little Muck” is one of the most selfless, loving, giving and caring people I know. His optimism in the midst of despair comes only from a deeply rooted faith and service to the Lord our God! We each will face many challenges in our walk with God and the many ups and downs of life will sometimes test our faith. However, my uncle’s steadfast commitment in service to God is incredible, even in times of heartache, pain and desperation.
Over the past several months, Ronald has fought through pain, sleeplessness, financial trouble and health issues, among other things. It was recently revealed that what was thought to be a torn miniscus in his knee, is actually MUCH worse. In fact, he is in need of a total knee replacement. The doctor visits seeking treatment, multiple trips to the emergency room, tests and imaging and now a surgery he is faced with, have resulted in insurmountable medical bills.
The WORST PART: my uncle, the loving, caring, selfless man described above CANNOT GET ANY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE whatsoever - he lives below the poverty level and can’t get even the slightest assistance from the government. Not to mention, he can’t obtain “affordable” health insurance anywhere (not private or on the exchange) and given his low income, can’t even receive a healthcare credit to offset some of the premium costs. Folks, there are millions of people LIVING off the government and here’s a man that can’t hold down a job due to a debilitating condition.
It absolutely pains me to think about what he’s going through on a daily basis. Not knowing where you’re going to get the money to pay your electric bill, car payment, etc. OR even if they will get paid and then faced with the reality that your vehicle may be repossessed and lights turned off is heartbreaking. Top it off with a knee surgery that is going to cost well into the tens of $1000’s, a surgery that if not performed, may lead to permanent loss of use of a leg, not to mention the mental impact of not being able to walk, work, etc.
I’m working with his surgeon and IF we can raise $15,000, I’m confident he will do the knee replacement surgery and restore a quality of life for my uncle. I’m praying for a miracle here as I firmly believe WE can achieve this goal. Please prayerfully consider donating to this cause, share with EVERYONE you know and even those you don’t.
