Ronald Judson and Transitional Services of L.I.

Ronnie is an alumni  of the Garden City High School Class of 1984, and a dear friend of many growing up. He was full of life and his future was ever so bright between his studies, sports, and good looks— Ron was the total package.

During his sophomore year at the University of Pennsylvania, Ron was diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia. His life was never the same. Transitional Services of Long Island has been housing Ron for over 25 years alongside 11 other fellow live-in members, all living with similar conditions.

For those who do not know, Schizophrenia usually does not manifest until late teenage years, and has the ability to turn your life upside down. Those who suffer from Schizophrenia can experience alternate realities made from delusions and hallucinatelions. This disorder makes it very hard to live a “normal” life, and therefore makes it hard for someone suffering from Schizophrenia to support themselves.

The goal of this campaign is to raise money for my classmate Ronnie, 20pct for Transitional Services of Long Island. Specifically, we want to use this fundraiser to fund a gym for the facility,  the remainder to be gifted to Ronnie for basic essential needs new mattress bedding and wardrobe. Any amount donated is significant, thank you.
I’d like to thank my fellow classmates for supporting the start of this effort with special thanks to Andrew Moreno our friend and classmate.
