Hi all. This GoFundMe has been set up to help and support the Mirimi family during this difficult time. Their three sons, Ronald (22), Daniel(18) and Christian(13) Mirimi were all involved in an a deadly car accident in Harare. Ronald returning from Marondera where he was picking up Daniel and Christian from school . Thankfully Christian did not sustain any life threatening injuries but Ronald and Daniel did and are both currently in the ICU.
The family has spoken to doctors and have been provided with cost estimates from previous cases that are similar. Ronald and Daniel are anticipated to be in the ICU for at least 2 weeks( from today) and are looking at potential costs totaling around $42,000USD for that period.

Ronald attended Peterhouse Boys School Zimbabwe from 2013-2018 where he played 1st team Rugby and also played for the Zimbabwean national team. Those who know Ronald will attest to his amazing talents and his contribution to the teams he played for. He was currently working on a commercial leasing project in Marondera and Rusape. Ronald also has another project in Victoria falls where he is setting up a lodge.
Daniel aged 17, currently in 5th form (5th year out of 6 total years of high school), had just completed writing his AS examinations. Daniel has a passion for spreading the word of God. He and Ronald started a platform named Transformed by Christ where they share videos preaching and sharing the Word of God.
Please note this is an estimate on previous cases and that all cases are unique - may be more, may be less. The final figure of $45,000USD also includes contingency. This mark up is in case of any complications that may arise and in the case of that markup not being needed due to a positive change in the boys’ condition, GoFundMe offers reliable refund options. The aim is to re-evaluate the situation in 2 weeks time. This figure DOES NOT involve treatment past the ICU for now. All funds will go directly to the boys’ medical expenses on the treatment they get in the ICU.

Ronald and I were in the same year group in high school and also worked at Christian’s primary school. I’ve known the Mirimi family most of my life as we lived on the same street opposite each other in our childhood. Crowdfunding is not available in Zimbabwe, and therefore we decided to set this up with the family to help raise some funds for Ronald and Daniel.
