My name is Maria, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friend Ron, who is facing an unexpected and frightening health challenge. He recently developed severe groin pain that quickly escalated. After multiple doctor visits and imaging, he was told that a testicular mass was found—one that is highly likely to be cancer.

Although a definitive diagnosis will come after surgery and biopsy, his medical team is proceeding as if it’s testicular cancer, and his surgery is already scheduled for Tuesday, July 8, 2025. The urgency is real, and there’s no time to wait.

To make an already terrifying situation even harder, Ron is uninsured. And in the midst of all this, his wife Lorene was just laid off from her job. They are now navigating a major medical crisis without any financial cushion—facing tens of thousands of dollars in out-of-pocket costs for surgery, treatment, and time away from work.

Ron is a Licensed Massage Therapist who has spent his life helping others feel better, heal, and live pain-free. He’s kind, humble, and deeply devoted to his work and his family. He would never ask for help himself, so I’m doing it for him—because no one should have to face cancer alone or delay care due to cost.
