Ron Michels - gone too soon

We lost our Ron on June 27, 2022, suddenly and way too soon!! He was only 56 years old and had his whole life ahead of him, we thought. Ron was in renal failure when he got to the hospital along with having pneumonia. Then the Doctors found he was bleeding internally from his spleen, it was from another aneurysm! Ron suffered a brain aneurysm years back and survived!
More tests were performed and kidney dialysis done 3 times (+/-) each week for just about 3 weeks he was in the hospital. I think he knew in his heart that he was dying because of the little things he did and didn’t do or say.

His family was there for him each day whether it be all of us or some on the days we could be and BUT our Mom never left his side!! ❤️ The 20 days that Ron was in the hospital, Mom was there every single day to be with her first born son. Some days 12 hours with no breaks and other days with breaks to eat, recoup and pray herself and then back with Ron.

The evening of Monday, June 27, 2022, was the last time our Mom was with Ron. She said she loved him and he said it back to her as she let go of his hand to get dialysis. “I’ll be waiting right out side these doors for you Ron when you finish with dialysis, he said ok.”
Ron never made it back out the doors. During dialysis his heart was giving out and the Doctors/Nurses tried everything they could to bring him back but his body was too weak and tired. .
Our family lost a good man that night! He was a beloved Son, a Brother (to many), a Dad, an Uncle, a nephew, a cousin, a friend to many and a PROUD Electrician for Local 58 for many years.
Unfortunately, Ron did not have life insurance or any insurance for that matter. Our brother Gary was able to get Ron set up with Medicaid while he was in the hospital, but it is still “PENDING”.
Ron worked hard and many long hours as an electrician and was very good at it. Unfortunately, having no insurance or life insurance, all those years of hard work are gone.

We as Ron’s entire family, want to be able to give him a proper funeral, burial or even a memorial to celebrate our love for him and all the years of hard work but are struggling when there is nothing to help us.

If you can help, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️
If you can’t help, but can say a prayer, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️
