Family and friends of Ron Loyacano, are humbly requesting assistance in helping raise money for our beloved Ron. He is 68 years old with several severe health issues. Despite eating healthy and regular exercise, at age 55, he developed congestive heart failure, followed by a heart attack. His heart functions at 30-35%. He was recently diagnosed with endocarditis, (a blood infection), believed to be related to his internal cardiac defibrillator and is receiving IV antibiotics, which are detrimental (contraindicated) due to his kidney functions. Every day that he remains on his current antibiotic regimen puts him at increased risk!!! The only drug option available at this point (that won't cause further harm) to his kidneys or other vital oragns is Cubacin (Daptomycin), but his co-pay for this drug is $5,700.00. He requires this specifc drug as a means of clearing up the infection in order for the defibrillator to be removed. Once removed, (another costly surgery), then presumably another lower potency antibiotic can be supplemented in order to prepare him for a defibrillator replacement. Ron is one of the kindest, most loving men we know and very much desrves this chance. Without your financial support and of course, your prayers, this won't happen.
