Ron Evans

Hi my name is Scott Metcalf, and I am fundraising for the family of a very dear friend of mine, Ron Evans.

Most folks know Ron from his many years of public service as a Building Code Plans Examiner for the City of Asheville. After retirement, Ron worked part-time with the City of Marion as a Building Inspector and also as a private code consultant for some of the most prominent Architects in Western North Carolina.

Ron went to be with his Lord and Savior on 12/14/22 after his short battle with cancer. Ron was diagnosed with metastatic cancer only four weeks ago. After all that Ron has done for me, both personally and professionally, as he has done for many of us, I wanted to be able to give back to him and his remembrance. Ron's knowledge was abundant, and there were many projects that only stayed alive because of his code knowledge. I have started this fundraiser to help his family with the funeral expenses. If you feel led to give, that is great. If you are unable to give please forward it to others that knew Ron and the legacy that he has left behind. Ron Evans was one of the greatest examples of a friend, father, and coworker and will be missed dearly.
