My name is Josh Diggs and I'm raising funds for my landscaper and friend Ron Chambers. September 28th Ron stepped outside of his home in Seffner, FL as Hurricane Ian moved into Tampa Bay. In an instant a massive tree uprooted and fell on Ron, breaking his neck and injuring his spine. Ron was trapped under the tree for over two hours until the fire department was able to cut him free and rescue him.

Ron was in a hospital bed for over 2-months and just recently returned home after spending time in a rehabilitation facility. Because of the spinal injury, Ron has lost the ability to use his hands and walk. For someone that uses his hands to work and make a living, this is especially life-changing. Ron has a long road of physical therapy relearning to use his body and needs help.

I own a property management company in South Tampa and met Ron about 10 years ago. I deal with a lot of contractors in my line of work and I can tell you there is no one more honest, friendly and hard working than Ron Chambers. Ron often worked six, sometimes seven days a week. I can't think of anyone more deserving of the community's help.

You can be sure all of the money I raise will go to Ron. My company, Palm Communities has managed apartments on Davis Islands and greater Tampa for the last 9 years. My wife (Alicia Billington) is a plastic surgeon and went to USF for medical school and residency. We live in Ballast Point with our 2-year old daughter. The funds will be given to Ron to help pay for his medical bills and physical therapy. Ron has an upbeat positive attitude and is determined to walk again and regain the full use of his hands.
