Hi, I am Jonathan Bolton, Ron Bolton's little brother. I am starting this Go Fund Me account to help Ron and Carla with medical costs, bills, food, and lodging expenses.
As many of you know...On May 13, 2017 Ron and Carla were involved in a serious motorcycle accident in Clayton, NM while on a 5 state trip with the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club. They were struck from behind by another motorcyclist and were thrown from their motorcycle. Carla was very lucky to escape only with minor injuries. Ron wasn't quite as lucky. He suffered 5 broken ribs, a broken clavicle, and a serious head injury after the motorcyle came to rest on his head.
Ron was mediflighted to Amarillo, TX where he was in a coma for a week and kept in and induced coma for a week. After spending a couple of weeks in the ICU in Amarillo, he was moved to Baylor University's Trauma Rehabilitation Center in downtown Dallas. Ron continues to get better physically but his mental progress has been much slower. He has been diagnosed with daily amnesia which means everday he has to be reminded of where he is and why he is there.
Carla has a job waiting for her when she is able to return, but her paychecks have stopped. Ronnie has been given notice that his last day as Asst. Chief of the Marietta PD will be on August 3.
Ronnie and Carla are an amazing couple that love each other deeply. Please consider donating enough so that they will not have to worry about making ends meet. Any amount that you give will be a tremendous help.
