My good friends, Ron and Ellen Gallegos, who lived in Battle Creek, Michigan, lost their home on May 24,2020 to a fire. They had just finished doing some yard work. Ron and his grandson were watching movies while Ellen was taking a shower. While Ron dozed off in his chair, their grandson heard a popping noise and quickly realized that the house was on fire. He woke his grandpa and got him out of the house. He got his grandma out of the shower and got her out to safety as well. All the while, the house was full of smoke and almost impossible for them to see to get out. What a brave young man!!
Tragically though, the house was a complete loss and my friends didn’t have current insurance coverage. They lost everything. They went to their daughter’s home for temporary shelter, but now have to figure out what’s next. They’re looking into the cost of demolition and removal of what’s left of the home they’ve lived in for decades. Then what? So many things to figure out, but they don’t have many options without money. That’s why we’re here.
Please join me in showing these amazing people some love and generosity. They have touched so many lives with their musical talents, generosity and kindness. Please help me give back to them. Thanks so much.
