I’ve been fundraising for causes I’ve believed in for many years. I’ve raised thousands for AIDS and Cancer. It’s not hard to ask for funds when your asking for a cause. I never thought I would have to ask for the generosity and kindness of others for myself.
I am proud of my personal success and raising my children and making sure they have a good education even when times were tight . Being self employed and resently just opening a new business I am stretched to the limits without any room for emergencies of this size. Obviously there are so many people in need right now. Those of us that are self employed or single parents are all in the same position. Im only asking for help if you can afford to. Your help will enable me to keep my head above water. A small boost like this will alllow me to continue to help myself.
My story; I had a pear sized tumor removed from my throat( attatched to my parotid gland) on January 4th 2019. I feel so grateful that it was benign. My surgery was a success, they got the whole thing. They did reconstructive surgery along my jaw line to help fill in the side where all the glands were removed. I only missed two weeks of work. I still have facial numbness wich makes eating difficult. I have a new scar on my neck. I have been concentrating on keeping my spirits positive and counting my blessings. Had I waited longer it would have squeezed my Carotid artery causing stroke. So I am
grateful to be alive.
Now the medical bills are all in and after insurance has paid what it’s going to pay I had to come up with $10,000 .out of pocket. Im asking for help with $7500 of remaining bills.
Unfortunatrly with everything else going on these extra bills could sink me at this time . Even with long term payment arrangements requested. It’s still outside of my regular budget. I thought I had everything all worked out but it’s daunting.
I am feeling an under lieng restlessness . I have to reach out to my friends because I’m afraid for the first time ever I cannot do this by myself.
My family is full of love and I am fortunate for that.
With humbleness I am asking friends to please help with any amount that you can to help me raise any part of this remaining $7500. Through May 1, 2019.
