Romey's Dreams of Becoming a Future Olympian Swimmer

Hello, we are Reginald & LaKesha Burton Jr. and we are fundraising for our son, Reginald J. Burton III a.k.a. Romey B "Da Shark". Romey is 11 years old and has accomplished so much in his swimming career so far. We are trying to help provide him with more opportunities to travel, train, and get exposure in this very expensive sport. He works so hard and deserves every bit of what he is blessed with. Please help us support our little shark!
To give you a little background on “Da Shark”.
- Chosen to represent the State of Indiana joining Team Indiana Swim Team since the age of 9
- In 2023, he broke the Indiana Age Group 100 Breast record that had stood untouched for 40 years, in 1:14.72, taking over half a second off the previous meet record of 1:15.28 set by Paul Saviano way back in 1983.
- In 2023, he also broke the Indiana Age 50 Breast record, blazing a 33.83 to lower the previous mark of 34.05 belonging to Connor Carlile from 2016.
- He received the 2023 Indiana Age Group Top Performer Award recognized at 2024 Age Group Short Course State Championship meet in March.

Your support helps “Da Shark” experience a fun, healthy sport where he grows daily as an individual athlete, while also developing lifelong skills. Funds will be used for training, meet fees, travel expenses, and to purchase equipment throughout the year. He will be attending a 10-day elite camp in Indianapolis in June 2024 and would also love to attend the 2024 Olympics Trials during this time as well. He has several Championship meets upcoming and would be traveling out of state for other competitive competitions as well throughout the year. Your support will help keep this Shark in the water and accomplishing his goals!!!
