My life was completely turned upside down at the young age of 30! A little back story for some who may or may not know I'm transgender. I was at one of the happiest points in my life when I moved across the country to follow my dreams and have my surgery done in California and all that was put to a stop. While in Vegas celebrating my birthday I was slammed with the worst news ever! STAGE 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma! The happiest time of my life instantly turned into a nightmare! My car was repossessed because I couldn’t work due to illness so I couldn’t afford it and I was also denied health insurance. I had to move back to TN with my parents because sadly I can no longer support myself! My medical bills have now piled up to $12,000 so far and by the end of my treatment I will be over $30,000 in debt from medical bills. I also owe my parents more than I can even imagine and I’m patiently waiting.. praying that I am approved for disability soon so I can try to pay my parents back anything at all. Being in pain, weak, and being nauseous all the time has taken a toll on my body. I never imagined having to go to raising funds while going through chemotherapy to survive but I’m more than waist deep in medical bills and I can physically feel myself drowning. With the holidays coming up I’m not expecting or asking for much but believe me anything helps! I wouldn’t wish cancer on my worst enemy. I try my best to hold my head up high and fight through this but everyday it gets more and more difficult.
