14YO CHARGED IN 2YO NEPHEW’S DEATH: ​ Last night, August 12, 2020, at 7:55pm, Columbus Police was called to the 300 block of N. Monroe Ave. on a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found 2-year-old Romere Harris suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Romere was transferred to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in critical condition. He did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 8:29pm. The investigation revealed that 14-year-old Charles Hodge Jr. was in the home babysitting his niece and nephew. Hodge admitted he was handling a gun when it discharged striking his nephew, Romere. This is the city’s 85th homicide in 2020. Please help my sister ( Robin Harris ) to give her 2 year old son a proper burial. Please ANYTHING will be appreciated!!
