Yesterday evening Romeo was found hiding in the bushes out side our house, smashed up nose/ lip, pouring blood. We rushed him to the vet immediately, not knowing what had happened. It was clear that he had undergone severe head trauma and was in extreme pain. After x-rays, we were informed that he has five broken ribs on his left side and two on the right. Along with very cloudy eyes which has now shifted to one very dilated pupil which may indicate something wrong with his eyes or brain from the head trauma. He is currently on two different pain meds, but is still in significant pain. The vet had just started him on a liquid IV with some stronger pain meds to try and help ease his pain. Romeo can make a full recovery with the proper care sadly the only way we can give that to him is for him to continue to stay at the vet. But with it costing $300 for one day and night, I am reaching out to ask for help so that Romeo can continue getting the care he so desperately needs:(
