Traveling home for Thanksgiving this year was RUFF. On Friday morning we went outside for routine playtime. Romeo being his normal energetic self was running around, then unexpectedly took off full speed towards a moving vehicle. The driver was unable to stop in time. The tire ran over his lower half - an image I don’t wish any pet parent to witness.

With all that said, Our strong boy Survived with healthy lungs, a healthy heart, and all his internal organs intact. Not completely out of the woods, his pelvic area & hip twisted out of alignment and he has severe tire burns across his stomach.

Romeo spent three days in emergency care at NorthStar. We are so thankful to the Vets that performed his open surgery - Femoral Head Neck Excision (FHO).

This is only the beginning of his healing journey - We’re praying he’ll bounce back to his normal happy self as we take this healing journey together. We don’t have the resources to do it alone. We are asking our family, friends, and those in our community that identify with loving their fur-baby the way we do, and would do anything to see them healthy again, for help.
