Romayo "Jojo" Espina was a beloved friend, companion, brother, uncle, caretaker and coworker who unfortunately lost his battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 30th, 2021. Jojo was born and raised the Philippines, moving to California with his family later in life. He lived with his partner, Patricia (Pat) and her grandson Gavin, in San Marcos, CA. and has family in Southern California and the Philippines.
He was a "techie" at heart, and worked in IT support roles throughout his adult life. Performing this role he was able to spend his time doing what he loved most; interacting with people and working with technology. He enjoyed technology so much, he spent much of his free time gaming, and working on PC repair.
Jojo was devoted to his family and work, and always full of happiness and very positive. He loved spending time with his Sister, and her family, as well as the extended family of his partner, Pat. Jojo was truly a generous and giving person, who always put the happiness and wellbeing of others ahead of his personal interests.
Towards the end of his life, he faced many health issues, but throughout those battles he remained positive and hopeful, always put a positive spin on life. He continued to work in his IT role, all the way to the end of his life, always wanting to contribute and be part of his team.
To honor Jojo and help support the family, we are setting up a fund to cover the cost of the memorial service. The funds will go to his sister, Rosalie.
