Roman's diagnosis
Donation protected
Our precious Roman Jude was born
October 13, 2012 and within days I knew he was different. Roman wasn't like most babies, not snuggly and didn't like being held. As he grew I couldn't shake my instinct that something was not right. Fast forward to 18 months and Roman had not a single word nor any interest in words. This is around the time we seriously began seeking help.
Roman was brought on board by Tri Counties regional center for the early start program a month before he turned two. These early interventions have grown him so much! Currently Roman is using sentences and we are overjoyed!
Unfortunately all other aspects of his growth have not improved and his behaviors have worsened. We have spent countless hours trying to get to the bottom of this. We currently have therapies 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. This program will end once he turns three unless we receive a diagnosis.
Currently, Roman has been unable to receive a diagnosis through Tri counties and our insurance. However, we just received the referrals we need to be seen by Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. This is such an answered prayer to finally be seen by an amazing team!
With this referal will come great costs as it is out of our insurance network and will require multiple trips to LA. The numbers I have now are an estimate and we will know more once our insurance papers are processed.
We are nervously excited to start this process and begin digging to find answers for our boy. We thank you all for your prayers, love and support!
