Hi Everyone,

My mom got caught up in a romance scam that unfolded over the past year. This unfortunate turn of events began when her boyfriend was moved to a retirement home in a different part of the country, closer to his family.

In her loneliness and vulnerability, scammers managed to weasel their way into her life. They conned her out of her life savings, and now she's struggling to make ends meet. She's feeling really down on herself for falling for the scam, and it's taking a toll on her mental health.

I don't usually do this, but I believe that if some folks could pitch in, it would help her catch up and get back on her feet. Her kids are doing what we can, but we're hoping to rally some support from our community to help her out of this tight spot.

The stress she's under is not only affecting her finances but also her mental well-being. To make matters worse, she's facing a lobectomy or total lung removal for 1 lung to remove some spreading cancer cells. If we could ease some of that stress, it would make a world of difference for her health.
