Dear Family and Friends,

It is with deep sadness and grief that I share the news of the passing of my brother-in-law, Roman Halitsky. Roman passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home with Sabrina by his side on Saturday. The family is devastated and shocked at his untimely passing, leaving behind his loving wife and children, Esme and Jacob.

We are immensely grateful for and touched by the outpouring of love and support from friends, family and especially Sabrina and Roman’s faith community.

As is often the case when a loss is unexpected, there are immediate financial pressures that arise long before life insurance or other supports are available. This waiting period can take months. Many have asked how they can help and whether a fund would be put in place to support them.

I have put together this go-fund-me to help ease their burden by supporting day-to-day living expenses and to give Sabrina the space to grieve and care for Esme and Jacob without the added weight of financial stress.
